SGPA Trajectory Chart

SGPA Trajectory Chart: enter semester SGPAs (with optional credits) and see your SGPA trend and cumulative CGPA as a chart, with best and weakest semesters.

Your SGPA trajectory, charted

Free • No signup • Nothing stored
Add 2–12 semesters. Credits are optional: if every semester has credits, the cumulative line is credit-weighted; otherwise it is a simple average. Nothing is stored or sent.

This SGPA trajectory chart turns your semester results into a picture: one line for each semester's SGPA, and a second for your cumulative CGPA as it actually built up. Enter at least two semesters (credits optional) and press Calculate.

How to read the chart

The SGPA line jumps around — a hard semester dips, a strong one recovers — while the cumulative line moves slowly, because every new semester is averaged into everything before it. That is why the same 9.0 lifts a first-year student's CGPA dramatically and a final-year student's barely at all. The result also names your best and weakest semesters and the overall direction from your first semester to your latest.

Weighted or simple?

If you give credits for every semester, cumulative points use the credit-weighted mean your university transcript uses (Σ(SGPA × credits) ÷ Σcredits). Leave credits blank and it is the simple mean. Do not mix: a partly-credited chart falls back to the simple mean and says so, because mixing the two would silently distort the line.

What to do with it

Use the trend, not any single point: a rising SGPA line with a flat cumulative line means your recent work is better than your average suggests — exactly what the Target CGPA planner quantifies when you set a goal. When you need the degree percentage, convert the final CGPA with your university's official rule on the CGPA to Percentage calculator.

Frequently asked questions

How is the cumulative CGPA line calculated?

Semester by semester: if every semester row has credits, each cumulative point is the credit-weighted CGPA up to that semester; if any row has no credits, it is the simple average of the SGPAs so far. The chart states which method it used.

How many semesters can I add?

Between 2 and 12 — enough for everything from a two-semester PG year to a long integrated programme.

Is my data stored or uploaded?

No. The chart is drawn in your browser from the numbers you type; nothing is saved, sent or tracked. Reloading the page clears it.

Can I convert the final CGPA to a percentage?

Yes — take the final cumulative CGPA from the chart to the CGPA to Percentage calculator, which applies your university's own official conversion rule.
